If you know us a little at Easy Ceiling, you will know that we like to keep on top of all the latest trends in the stretch ceiling industry, and indeed the wider construction industry. So here is our overview of stretch ceiling trends for 2025 and beyond.
We have categorised the trends into two main groups. First we focus on innovations in integrated lighting. Then we have a look at an area which is especially important to us at Easy Ceiling, the development of more eco-friendly and sustainable ceilings.
Integrated lighting trends
Backlit LED rigid bars
We can integrate LED lighting systems with your stretch ceiling to create a variety of backlight effects. We are increasingly using LED rigid bars as our go-to systems. These bars have a customisable beam angle of 170 degrees and work with ultra thin lighting panels to minimise the space (from 6cm) required to install your new ceiling.
Perimeter lighting
Another popular option with our clients is perimeter LED strips fitted around the edges of your stretch ceiling. As you can see from the image below, perimeter lighting makes the room feel more spacious as well as adding an elegant ‘floating’ effect to your ceiling.
Starlight Ceilings
Starlight ceilings are becoming very popular with our clients, especially for bedrooms, lounges, and home cinemas where a cosy, magical atmosphere is desired. We integrate fibre-optic star lighting systems into your stretch ceiling to create a twinkling night sky effect with stars in a variety of colours, see this video on our instagram to watch one in action.
Sustainable ceiling trends
Recyclable ceilings
More and more clients are asking their interior designers and architects to source more sustainable ceiling options. Stretch ceilings are one of these options as they are 100% recyclable and require limited energy to manufacture, transport and install.
Low VOC ceilings
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are chemicals that can evaporate into the air at room temperature. They can have adverse health effects and some are even suspected to cause cancer. Many traditional ceiling options contain VOCs but stretch ceilings are a recognised low VOC option.
So that’s our round up of stretch ceiling trends for 2025. Did we miss anything? Or have we inspired you to go stretch for your next ceiling? Please get in touch, we would be delighted to see if we can help.
