In this news we showcase an exciting project we have recently completed in Hove, Sussex. We think it perfectly illustrates the design potential of stretch ceilings for swimming pools as well as the professional capabilities of our expert installers.
For this project we worked with swimming pool design and build specialist Pool Design. We love working with Pool Design, they promise spectacular swimming pools and cover all aspects of a swimming pool build including design, construction, finishes, air handling, floor surrounds, ceilings (with our help) as well as spas, steam rooms and saunas.
We were delighted to be involved early in the design stage so we could collaborate with Pool Design’s architects as well as the builders and the end client to conceptualise the overall look and feel of the swimming pool area taking into account factors such as aesthetics, functionality and safety. In addition to the stylish design, the client was pleased to discover that stretch ceilings are not only incredibly durable but also waterproof and resistant to moisture and mould.
Once the design was finalised and the swimming pool building constructed, we could take detailed measurements of the swimming pool area to ensure precise fitting of the stretch ceiling. As a specialist stretch ceiling company we are used to completing the ceiling at the final stages of projects. Our expert installers take extra care to protect other finishes such as walls, floor and pool tiles.
The final ceiling combines a supermirror black stretch ceiling over the swimming pool to reflect the water and light from the pool. Above the pool surround we fitted a black matt ceiling. Then both the pool ceiling and the surround ceiling were fitted with LED perimeter lighting which can be automatically (or manually) configured to rotate through different colours.
We are very proud of this project. With careful planning, precise measurement and skilled installation we have worked with Pool Design to successfully create a functional and visually appealing indoor pool that we are sure makes every swim a delight!
